Accommodation Options in Delhi
There are currently few lodging options available close to the University other than Oberoi Maidens Hotel and the University Guest Houses. Opting to stay farther could be time consuming and costly in terms of transportation.

We have blocked 25 rooms in Hotel Oberoi Maidens which is most conveniently located at a five minutes drive from the university. (We may be able to provide free transport to and from Oberoi). Though there are many other Hotels in the city, travelling could easily take 40 minutes to an hour during the morning peak hours and especially during the evening hours.
- We have also booked several rooms at the two University Guest Houses. The Guest Houses are located right on the University Campus and within close walking distance to the Conference Venue. The Guest Houses offer simple and affordable housing.
- Alternative Accommodation: Hotel Lalit, Connaught Place. About 30 minutes drive from the University.
Note: currency: 1 USD is = approximately 45 INR. (Divide by 45 for approximate cost in USD.)
We would strongly recommend staying close to the University.

About the Oberoi Maidens The Hotel is on the metro rail line (Civil Lines Metro rail station). It is also located in close proximity of the business and commercial centres and tourist attractions in Delhi.
Special Tariff Rates for the Conference:
We have blocked 25 rooms in Hotel Oberoi Maidens, a heritage Hotel with spacious rooms located at just 2.5 kms from the University.
10 Superior rooms @ INR 8800 per room per night
5 Premier rooms @ INR 10500 per room per night
10 Deluxe Suites @ INR 13200 per room per night
The rates are inclusive of applicable taxes & buffet breakfast at The Garden Terrace.
A supplement of INR 725 per night inclusive of breakfast and taxes will be applicable for Double occupancy. For triple occupancy, if an extra bed is required the same will be charged at
INR 2500 per night inclusive of breakfast & taxes.
For child below 12 years, if an extra bed is not mandatory i.e. the child shares
the parents' bed, only the breakfast cost of INR 725 will be
applicable. However, if an extra bed is takes then rate applicable would be INR
2500 inclusive of taxes.
The special conference rate is only applicable for bookings processed before 20th Dec' 10. The block of 25 rooms from 22nd - 27th Feb (5 nights) will be held until 20th Dec' 10 and any rooms left unpicked or unutilized will be released from the block. Rooms will then be offered as per the availability at the prevailing rate during that period.
Reservations:
Send reservation requests to reservations 'at' maidenshotel.com with a copy to Ashish Sikand & DO mention 'NWAVAP' on the subject line to avail the special rates. The confirmation for rooms will be sent within 24 hours from the receipt of that particular booking request. All the booking are to be guaranteed by either credit card or advance payment so that they can be held on confirmed basis.

Hotel Lalit, Connaught Place
Hotel Lalit is a 5 star hotel located at a distance of 30 minutes from the University. It is located in Connaught Place, the city's business and shopping district. We have not blocked any rooms with the Hotel but have negotiated special rates for the Conference.

The rates offered are:
1.Inclusive of the Buffet Breakfast.
2. Exclusive of the applicable taxes are 10% Luxury Tax on the offered rate and 12.5% DVAT on the food component. Should there be any other taxes or changes in rates of taxes mandated by the Government authorities at any future dates, the same will be applicable. The hotel charge taxes on the special rates offered & not be printed tariff unlike many hotels.
3. The rates are valid till 20th January 2011, post which the rooms would be blocked on the best available rates.
4. The rates are applicable for one day pre & two days post the event dates that is 23th to 26th February 2011.
5. We have also offered a special cancellation terms - No cancellation charge for any cancellation five days out of the arrival.
6. Please note that we have not blocked the rooms & the same shall be blocked subject to the room availability, once the booking request is received.
